

An additional 16.5 billion rubles will be allocated for roads in 11 regions of the country
The Russian government will allocate more than 16.5 billion rubles to 11 regions of the country for road facilities. Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, told about this during an operational meeting with the deputy prime Ministers, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
"The government pays serious attention to expanding the road network and ensuring greater connectivity of settlements," the Prime Minister said.
According to him, 11 regions will additionally receive more than 16.5 billion rubles for the construction, reconstruction and repair of regional and inter-municipal roads, the construction of crossings, bridges and other facilities. Part of the funds will be allocated to the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions.
"Obviously, the comfort and safety of residents largely depends on the quality of the road infrastructure. It is important to monitor compliance with deadlines and the effectiveness of spending funds," Mikhail Mishustin said at the meeting.
In early summer, an additional 2 billion rubles were allocated to six regions of Russia for the restoration of roads affected by floods in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
We should also add that at the end of June, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a meeting with Roman Novikov, head of the Federal Road Agency, during which the head of Rosavtodor said that 6.5 km of roads are being built in Russia per day.
