Russians were told the main changes for motorists from September 1
In Russia, increased state duties for obtaining driver's licenses, license plates and permits for the transportation of dangerous goods will come into force on September 1, 2025. Since the beginning of autumn, penalties for drivers who do not allow cars with special signals to pass will also be increased.
In particular, the amount of the fine for non-admission of cars with special signals will amount to 7.5-10 thousand rubles from September 1. Motorists are also prohibited from overtaking special vehicles, and in order to free up passage, they will need to change lanes or onto the side of the road.
The state fee for issuing a driver's license will amount to 4-6 thousand rubles, depending on the type of document form, and 4.5 thousand rubles for a certificate of registration.
Also, an updated list of contraindications to driving will come into force on September 1. In particular, psychological disorders appeared there, including Asperger's syndrome and autistic disorders.
