

Since the beginning of the year, 1.8 thousand km of federal highways have been built and repaired in Russia according to the national project.
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 1.8 thousand km of constructed and repaired federal highways have been commissioned under the federal project "Development of the Federal Network" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation with reference to Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin.
The total length of federal roads in Russia is 66.4 thousand km, of which 61.4 thousand km is under the jurisdiction of Rosavtodor, and another 5 thousand km is owned by Avtodor Group of Companies. In total, in 2025, almost 5.4 thousand km of federal highways are planned to be commissioned under the national infrastructure project, including 4.9 thousand km after major repairs and repairs, and 435.6 km after construction and reconstruction. 567 billion rubles have been allocated from the state budget for these purposes this year.
"Federal highways are an important element of the country's transport framework. They ensure the connectivity of territories, contribute to an increase in cargo flows, the development of transport and logistics corridors, and increased transport accessibility. <...> We are doing a lot of work to create a modern and reliable road transport infrastructure that connects the regions and ensures comfort and safety of movement for many years to come," said Marat Khusnullin.
It should be recalled that the national goals set by Russian President Vladimir Putin in May 2024 and the objectives of the national project envisage bringing at least 85% of federal highways and the main road network, as well as 60% of regional roads, to a standard state by the end of 2030.
