Voronezh — Tambov federal highway section to be reconstructed for 7 billion rubles
Governor Alexander Gusev took part in an expanded meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, where the socio-economic development of the Voronezh Region was discussed. One of the issues was the reconstruction of the Voronezh—Tambov federal highway section. This was reported in the press service of the regional government.
The Voronezh-Tambov Federal Highway R—193 connects the largest transport highways Kaspiy and Don. This year, it is planned to complete the last of the three stages of reconstruction of a major transport interchange at the entrance to Voronezh from Tambov.
After the reconstruction, the traffic intensity at the six-lane transport hub will exceed 80,000 vehicles per day. In this regard, the issue of reconstruction of the highway, as well as two bridge crossings, will become acute. Now the highway has 2 lanes, the traffic intensity is 20 thousand cars per day. The cost of the project will amount to 7 billion rubles.
Andrey Kutepov, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, expressed his willingness to provide support to attract federal funds.
