Yamalo—Nenets Autonomous District to spend 2.5 billion to repair Nadym-Salekhard highway
Major repairs of one of the most difficult sections of the Surgut-Salekhard federal highway will begin in the Yamalo—Nenets Autonomous District in the coming years. As follows from the auction documentation, it is planned to allocate almost 2.5 billion rubles from the district budget for the reconstruction of roads between the capital of Yamal and Nadym.
According to the data of the Procurement Information System, the district Directorate of Road Management announced two tenders for work on the Nadym—Salekhard section, including a winter road. The first auction has already taken place, the winner has been determined, but his name has not yet been disclosed. The contractor will have to repair 1.7 km of the highway (from 1160 km), the cost of the work will amount to 1.698 billion rubles.
The second contract provides for carrying out engineering surveys, archaeological survey and preparation of design documentation for the site with 1,260 km, including the bridge over the Heuseriena River. The length of the work is about 400 meters, and the initial contract price is 788.5 million rubles. The auction at the contractor's choice is at the stage of submitting bids.
Design work is scheduled for 2025, and the reconstruction of the road and winter road starts at the end of May 2026. It is planned to complete all the work by November 2027.
The section between Nadym and Salekhard is considered one of the most problematic in the region: there are regular difficulties with travel, especially in the off-season. Earlier, the head of the Yamalo—Nenets Autonomous District, Dmitry Artyukhov, reported that in the summer of 2025 it is planned to upgrade more than 160 km of highways in the district, special attention will be paid to the Nadym -Salekhard highway, where the volume of sections without asphalt should be halved.
