Work on the expansion of the M-7 highway in Tatarstan, connecting Kazan and Yekaterinburg, is progressing rapidly β 63% of the total volume has been completed so far. The reconstruction affects sections from 1061 to 1155 and from 1161 to 1166 km, the press service of the Volga-Vyatskupravtodor reported.
β The work on the foundation of the pavement has been practically completed. 880 thousand tons of asphalt concrete have already been laid out of the planned 1.2 million tons," the ministry said.
It is also planned to build and reconstruct 11 transport interchanges and overpasses on the highway. At the moment, seven overpasses are fully ready, which were built on different sections of the highway in Naberezhnye Chelny and Menzelinsky district. Four more overpasses are under construction.
In addition, it is planned to build six bridges, of which four have already been completed. Work continues on the bridges over the Ik and Xun Rivers. The assembly of the metal structure on the bridge over the Ik has been completed, and its installation will begin soon.
All work is planned to be completed ahead of schedule β in 2025. It is planned to expand about 290 km of federal highways in Russia this year.
βThe expansion of the road remains one of the most important tasks in the context of increased motorization and increased traffic intensity," said Deputy Chairman of the Russian government Marat Khusnullin.
Roman Novikov, head of Rosavtodor, added that the development of domestic tourism also contributes to the improvement of road infrastructure, providing convenient access to cultural monuments and memorial complexes.
It should be recalled that preparations have begun in Tatarstan for the upcoming road construction season, which will be held as part of the implementation of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". In 2025, it is planned to repair more than 200 km of regional roads, as well as bring more than 17 artificial structures to a standard condition.
